MODERN CONSERVATIVE TREATMENT OF HYPERTROPHIC GINGIVITIS

This article evaluates the clinical effectiveness of modern conservative treatment methods for hypertrophic gingivitis. Hypertrophic gingivitis is a complex pathology that develops as a result of chronic inflammation of periodontal tissues, accompanied by a volumetric increase in gingival tissues, and in its treatment, along with traditional surgical methods, minimally invasive and conservative approaches are becoming increasingly important. The study involved 64 patients aged 18 to 55 years with a relatively stable general somatic condition. The patients were divided into two groups, and the main group received comprehensive conservative treatment in combination with laser therapy, photodynamic therapy and individual hygiene products; the control group received traditional curettage and drug therapy. Clinical indicators (gingival index, plaque index, probing depth and degree of gingival hypertrophy) were assessed before the start of treatment, as well as 1, 3 and 6 months after the end of treatment.
