Mapping Swiss Institutional Repositories: A National Survey Dataset (NAIF Track 3)

This dataset contains the survey instrument and pseudonymized response dataset produced by Track 3 of the NAIF project (National Approach for Interoperable Repositories and Findable Research Results), a national initiative co-funded by swissuniversities and eight Swiss higher education institutions (ETH Library, University of Zurich, EPFL, ZHAW, PHSG, University of Fribourg, University of Neuchâtel, and University of St.Gallen), running from July 2025 to December 2026. The survey mapped how institutional repositories across Swiss higher education are governed, technically configured, and sustained, covering infrastructure, metadata practices, interoperability, and long-term sustainability. It was administered via SurveyHero between November 5, 2025 and January 15, 2026, targeting swissuniversities-accredited institutions and institutions participating in the Swiss Open Access Monitor. The dataset contains 35 completed responses representing 39 institutions. The full analysis — including descriptive statistics, thematic findings, gap analysis, and recommendations — will be published as a separate report later in 2026.
