Seshat's Dual-Lignin Architecture: A Pre-Experimental Proposal for 100% Bio-Based Hemp Vitrimer Bionanocomposites With Expanded Carbon Morphology Spectrum
Description
This proposal presents a novel dual-batch modified lignin architecture for creating 100% bio-based vitrimer epoxy matrices derived from hempseed oil. The “Seshat Lignin” system combines maleinated lignin (carboxyl/aldehyde functionalities) and Mannich lignin (amine functionalities) with epoxidized hempseed oil to establish a self-catalyzing, dual-dynamic covalent network. This architecture enables both transesterification and imine exchange mechanisms without external catalysts. A key innovation is the compatibility with a expanded reinforcement spectrum spanning from native hemp bast fiber to carbonized morphologies (biochar, activated carbon, carbonized hemp fiber, hemp graphene/nanosheets), all derived from hemp feedstock. The dual-lignin chemistry provides adaptive interface compatibility across hydrophilic to graphitic surfaces. This pre-experimental document outlines the theoretical framework, hypothesized reaction mechanisms, detailed protocols for laboratory validation, and expected outcomes for materials scientists and polymer chemists.
