Description
This data repository contains the compiled data sets used in preprint Schellenberg et al. (2026) – EGUSPHERE-2026-1751, Submitted to Copernicus Biogeosciences on 2026-03-28.
Upon acceptance of the manuscript, this data base will be unlocked from an embargo.
The data encompasses two sets of 30min, growing-season meteorological data, model results and GNSS-T VOD data.
- Preprocessed GNSS-T VOD data
- Meteorological and energy data: Soil moisture, precipitaiton, VPD, wind speed, latent heat flux
- Canwat (https://github.com/Ron-Q/CanWat) model results averaged over the spatial domain (see below the difference between the two data sets): Rainfall interception, dripping, evaporation, transpiration
- Sapflow-deduced plant water uptake and transpiration (water balance closed)
- Baseline-indexed variables (for rain events, and per day)
There are two data sets:
A) Canwat output in column/cylinder form (x-y constant over z) `Meteo-GNSS-Canwat_20260215_0955_postprocessed.csv`
B) Canwat output in GNSS footprint as inverted cone with cutoff elevation angle 30°. `Meteo-GNSS-Canwat_20260215_0955_postprocessed_masked.csv`
The appended variable_description.csv contains the metadata.
