Name: Rasters of whale predicted density distributions per season in the Atlantic

Format: GeoTIFF rasters

Description: Predicted density maps from Species Distribution Models built over the Eastern North Atlantic. The rasters provide density (individuals per km²) predicted over a 10km-10km grid spanning the Eastern North Atlantic for fin whales (bphy), minke whales (bacu), sperm whales (pmac) and beaked whales (zcav), during summer and winter for the first two species but at the year scale for the latter two species. Annual/Seasonal predictions are median calculated over the predictions generated for each month of the study period (Jan 2001 to Dec 2024).

Each raster contains five layers:
- "id": id of each map cell
- "density_mean": Predicted density of individuals
- "density_mean_extra2.5": Predicted density of individuals, from which we removed areas where extrapolation was too high (i.e. we removed cells where the prediction was supported by less than 2.5% of the data)
- "mean_nearby": quantity of data in the model that supports the prediction (%)
- "cv": estimation of uncertainty (coefficient of variation, CV)
