From Commands to Cognition: Digital Craftsmanship and the Framework Injection Paradigm
Authors/Creators
Description
The dominant paradigm for human-AI interaction remains rooted in digital pidgin — an impoverished command language that exploits less than 30% of LLM capabilities. This paper introduces Digital Craftsmanship (epistemic praxis) and Framework Injection (epistemic mechanism): the transfer of complete domain-specific reasoning from human experts to AI agents.
Three-paradigm taxonomy: Command (prompt engineering) → Inform (context engineering) → Educate (framework injection). PE ⊂ CE ⊂ FI.
Introduces the Adversarial Tempering Protocol (Forge → Strike → Anneal → Quench) and a five-type framework taxonomy (declarative, procedural, evaluative, ethical, compositional). Six theoretical foundations: Vygotsky (ZPD), Sweller (cognitive load), Wittgenstein (language games), Polanyi (tacit knowledge), Peirce (semiotics), Greenberg (linguistic universals).
Validated across 6 domains. Zero residual hallucinations. Mean Confidence Index 0.94.
