Technical Validation of the OpenPlanet Climate Risk Engine: Localized Economic & Mortality Projections (Kolkata Case Study 2030)

This technical document details the deterministic translation framework used by the OpenPlanet Climate Risk Engine to map global CMIP6 and ERA5 climate tensors into localized economic decay and heat-related mortality metrics. It utilizes peer-reviewed models (Gasparrini 2017, Burke 2018, Stull 2011) to provide a financial audit of climate risk for the city of Kolkata under the SSP2-4.5 scenario for the target year 2030.
