Growth factor thermostability dataset derived from experimental and computational approaches to accelerate cultured meat development
Authors/Creators
Description
This dataset includes experimentally measured and computationally predicted thermostability data for growth factors commonly used in cultured meat and seafood production. The dataset contains 513 melting temperature values across diverse growth factors and variants, derived from a literature review (using a Large Language Model (LLM) GPT-4.1 with manual validation) and novel thermal shift data. Additional thermodynamic parameters on a subset of 15 growth factors derived from in silico analysis using FoldX are also provided.
The dataset is part of the publication "Growth factor thermostability dataset derived from experimental and computational approaches to accelerate cultured meat development" published in Data in Brief. To read the full article, visit: https://doi.org/10.1016/j.dib.2026.113042.
