Reports on DEC activities V2. ARCFISH deliverable D5.4

  • 1. EurOcean

Description

ARCFISH will develop a pilot Digital Twin of the Ocean (DTO) supporting sustainable fisheries in the Arctic. The DTO will be based on the existing Blue Insight platform that seamlessly supports the market segments of the ocean observing value chain of the New Blue Economy, also known as the Sustainable Blue Economy (SBE). The SBE is a concept that promotes sustainable development and conservation of ocean resources for economic, social, and environmental benefits. In the Arctic, sustainable fisheries focusing on achieving long-term sustainability and resilience of ocean ecosystems and communities is the key to uphold good living conditions for its residents. The project will target two key regions for Arctic fisheries: (1) Western Greenland, centred around Disko Bay, and (2) region around Iceland, northwards to the Svalbard archipelago and the Barents Sea.

The Report on DEC Activities V2, builds on the dissemination, exploitation, and communication activities that have taken place during the first year of the project, elaborating to those activities that have taken place during the second year of the projects. The activities follow the strategy outlines in Deliverable 5.1 Dissemination, Exploitation and Communication (DEC) Plan.

This report examines progress towards maximizing ARCFISH’s visibility, particularly in terms of reaching the Target Audiences, delivering the Key Messages, and performance in terms of the established Key Performance Indicators.

Due to the late start of the project, which effectively began in June 2024 rather than April 2024, this report covers activities from 1 June 2024 to 31st March 2026, consisting of 21 months of the project lifetime, rather than 24 months, as originally foreseen.

More information on the project can be found at: https://www.arcfish.eu.
