Description
This tutorial introduces spell checking and spelling correction in R, covering the implementation of spell checkers, the handling of OCR errors in digitised texts, the creation of custom dictionaries for domain-specific vocabulary, and batch processing of text collections. It is aimed at researchers in corpus linguistics and digital humanities who work with noisy or digitised text data.
This tutorial is part of the Language Technology and Data Analysis Laboratory (LADAL), a free, open-access research infrastructure at the University of Queensland.
