THE PROBLEM OF BOUNDARIES BETWEEN SIMPLE AND COMPLEX SENTENCES IN MODERN RUSSIAN

  • 1. Lecturer, Department of Uzbek and Russian Philology, Asia International University, Bukhara

Description

This article examines the distinction between simple and complex sentences in modern Russian from the perspective of structural, semantic, and functional approaches. Particular attention is paid to linguistic criteria for distinction, typological difficulties in determining the status of complicating components, and an analysis of controversial syntactic constructions. Factors contributing to the blurring of boundaries between these sentence types are identified and current trends in the development of the syntactic system are demonstrated.
