TM2ck: VIR Scanning Mirror Geometry Pipeline
Description
Overview
`TM2ck` is a specialized Perl pipeline designed to reconstruct the scanning mirror orientation of the *VIR Spectrometer* onboard the *NASA Dawn Mission*. It transforms raw instrument telemetry (Housekeeping APID 102) into SPICE-compliant binary C-kernels (.bc).
Technical Logic
- Input: APID 102 Telemetry packets (Sine/Cosine 12-bit mirror positions).
- Processing: Converts electrical signals to optical angles using mission-calibrated offsets and scale factors.
- Output: Type 2 SPICE CK segments via the NASA/NAIF `MSOPCK` utility.
