Universal Turing Market Machines (UTMMs)

Description

Universal Turing Market Machines (UTMMs) introduces a new architectural framework for blockchain-based markets in which market policy itself becomes a programmable and adaptive object. Rather than expanding the expressive power of the state transition function (as conventional smart contract platforms do) UTMMs treat transaction history as an epistemic substrate from which market policy can evolve through deterministic evaluation and bounded search.

The central thesis is structural rather than computational. Markets are not limited by insufficient programmability but by incomplete knowledge at design time. UTMMs therefore embed an adaptive policy layer within a consensus-secured ledger while remaining fully within classical computability limits. The system performs deterministic feature extraction over transaction history, evaluates candidate policies within a constrained hypothesis space, and selects improvements through bounded adaptive search.
