Diagnosis. Female. Body length including ovipositor about 1.2−1.5mm; ocelli forming right angled triangle; all funicle segments longer than broad, F3 and F5 only slightly longer than broad; clava 3-segmented, as long as F3−F5 combined; notauli incomplete (Fig. 5F); all coxae and femora dark brown (Fig. 5 C−E); mid tibia marked with dark brown, fore and hind tibiae dark brown; mid spur dark brown (Fig. 5D); MT about 1.2× as long as OL.

Description. Female (Holotype). Length about 1.4 mm. Body generally dark brown; only face, vertex and mesonotum with green sheen. Scape and pedicel dark brown, except apically brownish-yellow; funicle brown; tegula entirely dark brown; axilla with blue-green sheen; all coxae dark brown; fore femur, mid femur except basal 1/6 and hind femur dark brown; fore and hind tibiae except apex dark brown; mid tibia basally with a dark brown ring, mid tibia spur dark brown; mid tarus usually dark brown, rarely yellowish white basally (Fig. 4C), the other parts of legs brownish yellow to yellow; fore and hind tarsi brownish yellow, mid tarsi dark brown; fore wings hyaline, venation brown.

Head. Head with fine reticulate sculpture; HW approximately 2.9× HL; FV about 0.4× HW; ocelli forming an angle of about 90 o; the distance from the posterior ocellus to the inner eye margin equals that to the occipital margin; OCL about 1.1× diameter of posterior ocellus; OOL about 1.1× diameter of posterior ocellus; POL about 4.8× diameter of posterior ocellus; antenna with scape approximately 4.2× as long as broad; pedicel approximately 3.0× as long as broad, about 3.1× as long as F1; all funicle segments longer than broad (F1 1.4×, F2 1.4×, F3 1.1×, F4 1.5×, F5 1.1×); clava about 2.4× as long as broad and as long as F3−F5 combined. Relative measurements: HW 33, HL 12, FV 14, POL 7.6, OCL 1.4, OOL 1.4, MS 11.1, SL 17, SW 4.0, PL 8.1, PW 2.7.

Mesosoma. Mesoscutum slightly convex, covered with fine, scale-like sculpture; notaular lines indicated only anteriorly; MSW about 1.67× MSL; scutellum covered with lineolate to reticulate sculpture and clearly deeper than that on mesoscutum; STL about 1.33× STW; axilla with very shallow reticulations; fore wing approximately 2.7× as long as broad; linea calva closed by 1–2 lines of setae posteriorly; basal cell with a naked area at base; marginal vein punctiform, postmarginal vein virtually absent; mid tibial spur almost as long as the mid basitarsus. Relative measurements: FWL 76, FWW 28, MV 1.8, STV 6.

Metasoma. About 1.1× as long as thorax; cercal plates located in the apical 2/3 of gaster; hypopygium extending to apex of gaster; ovipositor sheets slightly exserted, ovipositor nearly as long as mid tibia, and often visible in dorsal view. Relative measurements: OL 23.6.

Variation. The basitarsus are not always dark brown; occasionally they are yellow (Fig. 4C).

Male. Unknown.

Host. Unknown.

Distribution. China (Qinghai, Xizang, Sichuan).

Etymology. The specific name refers to the mountain habitat of this species. From the Latin for mountain dweller, monticola (a noun).

Comments. This species can be distinguished from other Chinese congeners by its dark brown mid tibia spur, but may be close to T. fuscitarsis due to the shared trait of having dark mid tarsi. It can be separated from T. fuscitarsis by a combination of the following characters: scape about 4.2× as long as broad (in T. fuscitarsis scape about 5.8× as long as broad); all funicle segments longer than broad (in T. fuscitarsis F3 and F5 quadrate).
