Type locality. Colombia.

Diagnosis. Body yellowish-brown. Scutum with slightly evident yellowish longitudinal stripes. Wing yellowish-brown on the anterior region and smoky on the posterior region, brown veins and brown spots on crossveins.

Redescription. Female. Body length: 9.2–9.6 mm, wing length: 9.4–9.8 mm.

Head. Frons divergent below, divergence index 0.7 (X = 2), frontal index 1.8–1.9. Frons with irregular dark brown patch, almost touching the eyes and extending to the vertex. Vertex dark brown with long black setulae, prominent ocellar triangle, dark brown ocelli. Frons and subcallus brown with yellowish pruinosity, frons with long black setulae. Parafacial brown with yellowish pruinosity and some black setulae. Gena with yellowish white pruinosity and dense, long whitish setulae. Clypeus brown with yellowish pruinosity and dense long black setulae, slightly protuberant, clypeal index 0.7–0.8. Scape and pedicel brown with yellowish pruinosity and long, dense black setulae. Flagellum orange, last flagellomeres slightly darkened. Palpus brown, first segment with dense and long yellowish and black setulae; second segment with short black setulae. Proboscis dark brown, about 3x the height of the frons. Thorax. Scutum and scutellum dark brown. Scutellum with long black setulae. Scutum with shorter black setulae and slightly evident yellowish longitudinal stripes, the sublateral and lateral stripes connected by an even less evident yellowish stripe on transverse suture. Notopleuron with tuft of long black setulae. Anepisternum with tuft of long dense black and yellowish setulae, katepisternum and anepimeron with tuft of long dense yellowish and white setulae. Postalar callus with tuft of whitish setulae. Legs yellowish. Femora with long dense black and yellowish setulae. Tibiae and tarsi with short dense black setulae. Wing yellowish-brown on the anterior region and smoky on the posterior region brown veins, brown spots on crossveins and yellowish patch on cells r 1, r 2+3 and in part of the radial basal cell. Abdomen. Tergites yellowish with dense short black setulae and some yellowish setulae. Tergites 3 and 4 with a small tuft of whitish setulae on the central posterior margin. Sternites with sparse black and whitish setulae.

Distribution. Colombia, Peru.

Comments. Both physically examined specimens and those examined by means of photographs show spots on crossveins slightly darker than on the type. The tuft of whitish setulae on the central posterior margin of tergites 3 and 4 appeared to be present also on the other tergites, whose setulae was lost. The photographs of the S. incompleta specimen provided by Lessard (2014) agree well with the specimens seen here and with the holotype.
