Why People Think Differently: A Biological, Mental, and Social View
Description
Human cognition and thought processes vary significantly across individuals and cannot be explained by a single factor. Therefore, this paper proposes an 8-factor integrated framework to explain the differences in cognitive thinking among individuals. This framework includes biological, cognitive, emotional, and social factors, which interact to shape an individual’s perception and decision-making in various situations. Understanding these interactions provides a more comprehensive view of human cognition.
This framework is further illustrated through conceptual diagrams in a companion visual paper.
