Cheilodipterus quinquelineatus Cuvier 1828 − Fiveline cardinalfish

Gulf of Suez: −

Gulf of Aqaba: Egypt (Marshall 1952), Israel (Ben-Tuvia & Steinitz 1952, as Chilodipterus quinquelineatus), Jordan (Khalaf 2004).

Red Sea main basin: Egypt (Botros 1971), Sudan (Gon 1993), Eritrea (Clark et al. 1968, as Paramia quinquelineata), Saudi Arabia (Roux-Estève 1956).

General distribution: Red Sea, Indo-West Pacific: East Africa east to Marshall Islands and Pitcairn Group.

IUCN (2022): Least Concern.
