APSTRAKT

Ovaj srpsko-hebrejski i hebrejsko-srpski rečnik predstavlja sveobuhvatno leksikografsko delo obima približno 900 strana, namenjeno stručnjacima iz oblasti lingvistike, teologije i filologije, kao i studentima i široj zainteresovanoj javnosti. Rečnik sistematski povezuje savremeni srpski jezik sa hebrejskim jezikom, uz uvažavanje složenog odnosa između biblijskog (starojevrejskog) i savremenog hebrejskog jezika.

Delo je koncipirano kao dvosmerni leksički sistem, koji obuhvata srpsko-hebrejski i hebrejsko-srpski deo, čime se omogućava precizna primena u prevodilačkoj, naučnoj i obrazovnoj praksi. Posebna pažnja posvećena je semantičkim nijansama, polisemiji i funkcionalnim ekvivalentima, kao i etimološkim vezama između semitskih i indoevropskih jezičkih slojeva, što rečnik čini relevantnim i za komparativno-lingvistička istraživanja.

Poseban segment ovog dela čini sažeta gramatika hebrejskog jezika, koja pruža sistematičan pregled osnovnih morfoloških i sintaksičkih struktura, uključujući glagolske obrasce (binyanim), imenice, zameničke sisteme i osnovne principe građenja rečenice. Ovaj gramatički dodatak omogućava korisnicima ne samo pasivno razumevanje, već i aktivnu upotrebu hebrejskog jezika, čime rečnik prevazilazi okvir klasičnog leksikografskog priručnika i dobija funkciju didaktičkog alata.

Rad se oslanja na savremene leksikografske principe, uz integraciju tradicionalnih filoloških saznanja, naročito u oblasti biblijskog teksta i religijske terminologije. Obuhvaćena je terminologija iz svakodnevnog govora, naučnih disciplina, teološkog diskursa i kulturnog konteksta.

Ovo delo predstavlja značajan doprinos razvoju hebraistike na srpskom govornom području i unapređenju međujezičke i međukulturne komunikacije između srpskog i hebrejskog jezičkog i kulturnog prostora.

ABSTRACT

This Serbian–Hebrew and Hebrew–Serbian dictionary is a comprehensive lexicographic work comprising approximately 900 pages, intended for scholars in linguistics, theology, and philology, as well as for students and the wider public. The dictionary systematically connects the Serbian language with Hebrew, taking into account the complex relationship between Biblical (Ancient Hebrew) and Modern Hebrew.

The work is structured as a bidirectional lexical system, including both Serbian–Hebrew and Hebrew–Serbian sections, enabling precise application in translation, academic research, and educational contexts. Particular attention is given to semantic nuances, polysemy, functional equivalents, and etymological relationships between Semitic and Indo-European linguistic layers, making the dictionary relevant for comparative linguistic studies.

An important component of this work is a concise grammar of the Hebrew language, which provides a structured overview of fundamental morphological and syntactic features, including verb patterns (binyanim), noun forms, pronominal systems, and basic sentence construction. This grammatical section allows users not only to understand but also to actively use the Hebrew language, thus extending the dictionary beyond a conventional lexicographic resource into a practical didactic tool.

The dictionary is based on modern lexicographic principles while incorporating traditional philological insights, particularly in the fields of Biblical texts and religious terminology. It includes vocabulary from everyday language, scientific discourse, theological terminology, and broader cultural contexts.

This work represents a significant contribution to Hebrew studies in the Serbian-speaking region and enhances intercultural and interlingual communication between Serbian and Hebrew linguistic and cultural spheres.
