Description

Introduction: This study explores the connections between ethics, corporate governance, and sustainability in organizations in Pune, India. It highlights the growing need for ethical conduct and strong governance to achieve sustainable business outcomes.

Review of Literature: The literature shows that ethics and governance are important drivers of sustainability worldwide. In India, research is growing but still lacks quantitative models. This study addresses these gaps and builds on previous work by Indian scholars.

Research Methodology: A quantitative, cross-sectional survey was conducted among 107 organizations in Pune. Stratified random sampling was used. Data was collected through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using statistical methods such as regression, SEM, and path analysis. Ethical standards were strictly followed.

Results: The analysis found that ethical practices significantly improve governance. Governance, in turn, mediates the effect of ethics on sustainability outcomes. The structural model showed a good fit, and the results were consistent across industries.

Discussion: The findings confirm that ethics and governance are closely linked and together drive sustainability. Hypotheses about their relationships were supported by the data. The model is robust and useful for guiding business practices in the Indian context.

Findings, Suggestions, and Future Work: Ethics training and stronger governance mechanisms are recommended for organizations. Future research can expand to other regions, use longitudinal designs, or include more variables. The study’s model can help managers and policymakers design better strategies for sustainability.

Conclusion: Ethics and governance are key to sustainable business success. By strengthening these foundations, organizations can achieve lasting positive outcomes for themselves and society.
