Honey bee colony losses (Apis mellifera) in the Czech Republic 2014-2025

This dataset contains aggregated data on honey bee (Apis mellifera) colony winter losses in the Czech Republic, Europe. The data spans multiple monitoring years (from 2013/14 up to 2024/25) and provides spatial information at both the regional (NUTS 3) and district (LAU 1) levels. 

For each location and monitoring period, the dataset records:
* The total number of bee colonies going into winter ("Colonies before winter").
* The total number of colonies that died or were lost by spring ("Lost colonies").

This dataset is valuable for researchers, beekeeping associations, and policymakers looking to analyze spatial and temporal trends in honey bee overwintering mortality, assess regional risk factors, or model bee health dynamics across the Czech Republic.
