Objectivity as High‑Consensus Collapse: A Structural Expansion of the Universal Principle of Collapse (UPC)

This paper expands the Universal Principle of Collapse (UPC) by introducing a new structural layer: the consensus‑dependence of objectivity. While UPC has previously formalized the sequence Source → Observer → Collapse → Reality, it has not explicitly addressed why some collapses appear “objective” while others remain private. Building on the formal distinction between recognition, articulation, and collapse, we show that objectivity is not an independent property of the world but a high‑consensus collapse among observers whose recognition operators and models align due to shared biological constraints. This insight dissolves the assumption of absolute objectivity, clarifies the distinction between physical phenomena and abstractions, and reveals a structural error, “stolen objectivity”, in which humans illegitimately project high‑consensus rules onto low‑consensus domains. By deriving this consensus‑layer from the same operators that govern collapse across domains, the paper demonstrates how UPC resolves paradoxes in consciousness, argumentation, and quantum measurement, including Wigner’s Friend.

The results presented here are structural consequences of the UPC formalism rather than empirical claims about physical ontology.
