THE IMPORTANCE AND BENEFITS OF LEVOCARNITINE IN CHRONIC HEART FAILURE
Authors/Creators
Description
Chronic heart failure (CHF) is a condition characterized by the inability of the heart to pump sufficient blood to meet the metabolic needs of body tissues. This leads to symptoms such as dyspnea, fatigue, and fluid retention. Among the metabolic-supportive medications used in CHF management, levocarnitine has gained attention for its ability to enhance myocardial energy production and support cardiac metabolism. This paper discusses the mechanism, benefits, clinical role, and indications of levocarnitine in chronic heart failure.
