Accurate Determination of an Atom's Effective Electron Number via a Precise Refractive Index Formula

Description

This paper applies a precise refractive index formula to determine the effective
electron number in the outer shell of an atom , me . The error without correction
is less than 10-100 ppm and the confidence level is higher than 5σ.
