Ratanjot (Alkanna Tinctoria L.) Boraginaceae Root Extract, A Miracle Hair Oil

The present investigation assessed the formulation of an oil from Alkanna tinctoria (herb) roots, also known as Ratanjot root. Ratanjot is traditionally used in tribal areas of Himachal Pradesh herb, when used with oil, helps arrest hair fall, baldness, and premature greying. Oil infused with this herb promotes hair growth. Alkanet Root Powder is used in Hair Care and as a Natural Hair Color. This is also a very good natural hair conditioner. It applied on hairs infused with oil helps to control premature greying, baldness, and hair loss. It also promotes hair growth. To make Ratanjot hair oil, 10mlof virgin coconut oil is taken to this 2 ml castor oil. Then Fenugreek seeds and Ratanjot or Alkanet is added to the oil and boiled.
