Reusing Images in Open Educational Resources: Collection and Adaptation / Reutilización de imágenes en Recursos Educativos Abiertos: colección y adaptación
Description
This Open Educational Resource (OER) explains how images available online can be reused in educational materials by distinguishing between collection and adaptation.
Using visual materials related to Niklas Luhmann’s systems theory, the resource illustrates how different Creative Commons licenses enable or restrict the reuse, translation, and modification of images in Open Educational Resources. It also includes examples of cases where adaptation is not recommended due to unclear licensing conditions.
The resource is designed as a short slide-based guide for educators and students interested in Open Education, copyright literacy, and responsible reuse of digital materials.
This Zenodo record includes two language versions of the same resource:
-
English
-
Spanish
The material is released under a Creative Commons CC BY-SA 4.0 license to encourage reuse, adaptation, and redistribution in educational contexts.
