Description
The Château de Chambord Mortar Joint Dataset is a heritage masonry image dataset for binary mortar joint segmentation. It contains 425 patches (512 × 512 px) extracted from high-resolution photographs of the Château de Chambord (France). Annotations were derived from stone masks generated with a custom QGIS plugin based on SAM (Segment Anything Model) and manually curated by heritage experts; masks were then inverted to obtain mortar joint labels. The dataset includes flat-relief, vertical-relief, and horizontal-relief façade configurations, and is split into 333 training and 92 test patches. It is intended for research in cultural heritage documentation, masonry analysis, and thin-structure segmentation.
