Description
Sustainable development in African businesses is a growing area of interest, reflecting increasing awareness of environmental, social, and economic impacts. A structured survey was conducted among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Tanzania, collecting data through an online questionnaire with validated scales. The analysis revealed that while a majority of SMEs have incorporated sustainability into their business models, there is room for improvement in areas such as resource management and stakeholder engagement. Despite challenges, the findings suggest potential avenues for enhancing sustainable development practices among Tanzanian businesses. Businesses should prioritise training on sustainable practices and strengthen partnerships with local communities to improve their sustainability efforts.
