Sustainable Transformation Programmes in Kenyan Highlands: Farmer Income Gains and Environmental Conservation Analysis
Description
Sustainable transformation programmes in Kenyan Highlands have been implemented to enhance farmer income and environmental conservation. A mixed-methods approach combining qualitative interviews with quantitative data analysis was employed to assess the programmes' efficacy in enhancing economic gains and sustainability practices among smallholder farmers. The findings suggest that well-designed sustainable transformation programmes can yield significant benefits for both farmers' livelihoods and the environment, highlighting potential models for similar initiatives elsewhere. Policy-makers should prioritise replication of these successful programmes in other regions to achieve broader socio-economic and ecological improvements.
