Description

Genus Epischnia Hübner, [1825] 1816 –1826k: 371

Type species: Tinea prodromella Hübner, [1799] 1796 –1836d, subsequent designation by Bruand ([1848] 1847: 105), but cited as Epischnia Zeller, an incorrect authorship.

= Epischoria (misspell.) (Stephens 1834: 303)

= Epischnopsis Amsel, 1954: 302

Type species: Epischnia oculatella Ragonot, 1887c, by original designation
