Description

Telehealth platforms have emerged as a critical tool for mental health services in remote areas of Africa, addressing challenges such as geographical isolation and high costs. A comparative analysis approach was employed, involving a detailed examination of the platforms' design, implementation strategies, and outcomes. Qualitative data from interviews and surveys were analysed using thematic content analysis. Both platforms demonstrated significant improvements in patient engagement and symptom management, though Platform A showed a higher adoption rate among villagers (85% vs. 60%). The findings suggest that tailored telehealth interventions can effectively enhance access to psychological care in remote areas of Ghana. Future research should explore the long-term sustainability and scalability of these platforms, with a focus on community engagement strategies.
