Description

Data Description

Seismic Hazard Map showing mean Peak Ground Acceleration (PGA) in g for a 10% and 2% probability of exceedence in 50 years for the country of Tanzania. This map was produced using the GEM OpenQuake engine using the SSAHARA model, for further details please see https://hazard.openquake.org/gem/models/SSA

Project Attribution

The data was generated by the Global Earthquake Model Goundation (GEM) as part of the Modelling Exposure Through Earth Observation Routines (METEOR): EO-based Exposure, Nepal and Tanzania project, a £2.8m project co-funded through the UK Space Agency’s International Partnership Programme (IPP) Call 2 as part of the Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF) from the UK Government’s Official Development Assistance (ODA) commitment.
