Proposed definitions for fauna and faunal qualifications, with a view to subsidy the brazilian legal system - doctrine. The definition is an important instrument in the elaboration of a language for organizing information, but it cannot always be instructed according to the molds prescribed by terminological norms. Thus, this article aimed to relate and even propose definitions for the term fauna with a view to subsidizing the Brazilian legal system with a doctrinal conceptual standardization.
