EDI Virtual Town Hall Meeting - March 2026 - Programme and Presentations

The Ethical Data Initiative (EDI) held its large-scale annual Town Hall Meeting on 12 March, 2026 at the TUM Think Tank at the Technical University of Munich (TUM). This multi-stakeholder event served as a vital touchstone for our global community to reflect on our progress and co-create the roadmap for the year ahead. The meeting brought together the EDI team, official partner organisations, EDI affiliates, selected experts, and practitioners for a day of collaboration, insight, and strategic planning.

These presentations include ongoing EDI activities in the strands of Community Building and Policy, Education, and Research, as well as highlights from the current Research Spotlight on Recommender Systems for Social Good. Five partner organisations presented flash talks and a highlight of the day was a keynote presentation from Local Contexts on supporting indigenous data sovereignty.
