Post-burn scar deformities and contractures, particularly in highly mobile joints such as the elbow, have a significant negative impact on patients’ daily activities, professional capabilities, and overall quality of life. These deformities often lead to functional limitations, including a reduction in the range of motion (ROM), decreased mobility of muscles and associated structures, and psychological distress related to aesthetic dissatisfaction. Such limitations can complicate the rehabilitation process, extending recovery time and reducing functional outcomes. Therefore, optimizing tactical and technical approaches for surgical correction of elbow scar deformities is an urgent scientific and clinical task, aiming to minimize complications and maximize functional recovery.
