Code for precipitation regimes and Weibull model
Description
This code contains the main methods used to classify a daily precipitation time serie in wet-days regimes, and all-days regimes.
It also fits a weibull law on the wet-days distribution with location parameter equal to the threshold of wet-days (usually 1 mm/day).
A Bootstrap test with consistent spatial pulling is proposed to test the statistical significance of trends.
All this code follows the methodology of the paper André et al 2024 (André, Julie, Fabio d'Andrea, Philippe Drobinski, and Caroline Muller. "Regimes of precipitation change over Europe and the Mediterranean." Journal of Geophysical Research: Atmospheres 129, no. 15 (2024): e2023JD040413)
It is also used in the paper André et al 2026 (Julie André, Nicolas Chiabrando, Caroline Muller, Philippe Drobinski, and Fabio d'Andrea, "Distinct regimes of precipitation changes across Europe and the Mediterranean under global warming", Communication Earth and Environnement).
