Orphanostigma haemorrhoidalis Guenée, 1854

COMMON NAME(S): Lantana Leaftier, Lantana leaf-folding caterpillar or Lantana Leaftier Moth.

SYNONYM(S): Asopia dircealis Walker, 1859b; Hedylepta futilalis Barnes & McDunnough, 1914.

IUCN STATUS: Not Evaluated (NE).

DISTRIBUTION: Australia (Queensland), Brazil, Costa Rica, Cuba, Hawaii, Hispaniola, Honduras, Jamaica, Mauritius, Mexico, Nigeria, Puerto Rico, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, USA (Florida, Alabama), Zambia, Zimbabwe.

LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: Kabwe, in Central Province.

LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): Lantana camara L. (Verbenaceae) is one of the larval foodplants of the taxon.
