A Global Attractor for the Developmental Flow

Abstract: We prove the existence of a global attractor for the discrete developmental flow generated by the movement operator of developmental geometry. The developmental configuration space is realized as a complete metric space using the rank–2 spatial coordinates and oscillatory coordinates of M1–M4. The movement operator of M5 is shown to generate a discrete semigroup. Using the total potential of M6, we prove dissipativity and asymptotic compactness. The abstract global attractor theorem then yields a unique stratified attractor for the developmental flow.
