Affective Photography as Narrative Memory in Inclusive Education: A Case Study of a Photography Course for Visually Impaired Students at CADEVISG

This dicertation presents a case study developed in the context of the photography course for people with visual impairment offered by the São Gonçalo Support Center for the Visually Impaired (CADEVISG). The project investigates the use of photography as a tool for affective storytelling and memory construction in inclusive education contexts.
The methodology consists of the chronological organization of photographic records produced throughout the authors' personal trajectory, forming a visual narrative that documents significant moments in their lives together. The images are analyzed from the perspective of affective photography and visual narrative.
The study also discusses the role of inclusive education in access to visual arts and in promoting the cultural participation of people with visual impairments.
Abstract (Portuguese)
Este trabalho apresenta um estudo de caso desenvolvido no contexto do curso de fotografia para pessoas com deficiência visual oferecido pelo Centro de Apoio ao Deficiente Visual de São Gonçalo (CADEVISG). O projeto investiga o uso da fotografia como ferramenta de narrativa afetiva e construção de memória em contextos de educação inclusiva.
A metodologia consiste na organização cronológica de registros fotográficos produzidos ao longo da trajetória pessoal dos autores, formando uma narrativa visual que documenta momentos significativos da vida em comum. As imagens são analisadas sob a perspectiva da fotografia afetiva e da narrativa visual.
O estudo discute ainda o papel da educação inclusiva no acesso às artes visuais e na promoção da participação cultural de pessoas com deficiência visual.
