Description

ABSTRACT:

Cloud-based GST platforms have brought a major shift in the way small and medium enterprises (SMEs) handle taxation and compliance activities. By moving GST operations to a cloud environment, businesses can access data anytime, automate return filing, and maintain accurate financial records with minimal manual effort. This digital approach reduces paperwork, saves time, and lowers administrative costs for SMEs. It also promotes greater transparency and helps firms comply more easily with government tax regulations. However, the adoption of cloud-based GST systems is not without difficulties. Issues such as unreliable internet access, concerns over data privacy, and limited technical knowledge among small business owners can affect effective usage. Even with these challenges, the overall impact of cloud-enabled GST platforms on SMEs has been largely positive, improving efficiency, accuracy, and compliance. Continuous awareness, training, and stronger data protection measures will further enhance the benefits for small and medium enterprises.
