Distribution.
Cosmopolitan species (Brake and Bächli 2008). New for Transcaucasia (Georgia).
Remarks.
Scaptomyza flava is a leaf-miner attacking various plants, largely Brassicas (Bächli et al. 2004). Additional records of S. flava from Georgia (Bakuriani) are yet to be published based on the specimens deposited in the Hungarian Natural History Museum (HNHM, Budapest, Hungary) (G. Bächli, personal communication, January 27, 2026).
