Description

South Sudan's education system has faced significant challenges due to ongoing conflicts and displacement, affecting access to schooling for millions of children. A qualitative study involving interviews with educators, parents, and community leaders to gather insights into the challenges faced by students and teachers. Data revealed that over 50% of schools were closed due to security concerns, leading to a significant drop in enrollment rates among children from affected areas. The analysis underscores the urgent need for comprehensive support systems to ensure continued education access during conflict periods. Implementing robust security measures and providing psychosocial support services are recommended as key strategies to mitigate educational disruptions.
