Description

This document is the specification supporting U.S. Provisional Patent Application No. 64/000,777 (Confirmation No. 3170, Patent Center No. 74780714), filed March 9, 2026 with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

The invention discloses a three-component antioxidant formulation for edible oil preservation comprising carnosic acid, rosmarinic acid, and nobiletin. The formulation achieves simultaneous four-pathway antioxidant coverage -- radical chain-breaking via hydrogen atom transfer (HAT) and single electron transfer (SET), metal chelation, and lipoxygenase (LOX) pathway inhibition -- not achievable by any pair of the three components alone. The formulation was identified through a computational screening pipeline applied to PubChem and ChEMBL databases scoring 50 candidate antioxidants on ORAC potency, lipophilicity, food safety, patent landscape, and mechanism complementarity. All three components are food-safe, lipid-soluble, and GRAS. Non-provisional filing deadline: March 9, 2027.
