The Recommended Dissolution of the Yang-Mills Mass Gap Problem
Authors/Creators
Description
The Yang-Mills mass gap problem asks for a mathematical proof that the lowest non-zero energy state of a Yang-Mills quantum field sits strictly above zero. The Clay Mathematics Institute has offered $1,000,000 for this proof. Mathematics is serious. This question is not. This paper demonstrates that the question should be retired, not solved. The answer is axiomatic, not a proof derived from axioms.
