New Horizons of Historical Research: Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Digital Humanities

            Artificial intelligence is an important branch of new technology related to computer science. AI gives machines the ability to think, learn, and make decisions like humans. AI is being used in all fields today. In today's modern era, AI has begun to be used while studying history. The use of AI has become important in modern thinking in historical research today. AI algorithm used to convert old manuscripts and engravings into digital form. AI is being used to read ancient scripts or other historical scripts and translate them into modern Marathi and English languages. AI is helping to re-read historical documents, find references between Marathi Bakhari, old historical documents and piece together scattered information within them. AI tools are being used to quickly find information about specific events, periods, or individuals from large volumes of historical texts. Even in excavations, AI is being used for historical research in a shorter period of time compared to traditional tools, making it possible to conduct historical research in a shorter time. The present research paper studies the various changes that have taken place in historical research using AI.
