Climate - Rapid Evaluation Framework CMIP7 Quality Checklist

During set up of the latest phase of CMIP, CMIP7, the scientific governing panel, the CMIP panel, established a dedicated task team, the Model Benchmarking Task Team, with a number of objectives which included developing a framework that allows quick simulation access and evaluation.  The task team has since developed and implemented the Climate - Rapid Evaluation Framework (REF) which is a community owned evaluation framework, built upon, and compatible with, existing community evaluation packages that incorporates an application programming interface (API) for executing metrics generated from community evaluation packages, across the globe.  Three community evaluation and benchmarking packages are included in the Assessment Fast Track REF (ESMValTool, ILAMB-IOMB, PMP), each with their own data quality requirements. To make the REF fully functional, the requirements of all three packages must be met.
