NEUROPSYCHOLOGICAL PATHWAYS OF EMOTIONAL PROCESSING:The JEKA Model

  • 1. Independent Researcher – Psychology

Description

Description

This research introduces the JEKA Model, a conceptual framework explaining the neuropsychological pathways involved in emotional processing. Emotional responses arise from complex interactions between cognitive appraisal, neural mechanisms, and behavioral expression. The study integrates perspectives from cognitive neuroscience, affective psychology, and neuropsychology to explore how emotional signals are perceived, evaluated, and regulated within the brain.

The JEKA Model proposes a structured pathway linking emotional perception, cognitive interpretation, neural regulation, and adaptive behavioral response. By outlining these mechanisms, the model aims to contribute to a deeper understanding of emotional regulation, mental health processes, and psychological functioning.

This work is intended to support further research in neuropsychology, cognitive neuroscience, and emotional science, and to provide a theoretical basis for future empirical studies examining emotional processing in the human brain.
