Solar Coherence in the Inner Heliosphere: A Temporal-Proxy Framework from Parker Solar Probe and Solar Orbiter (RCD Paper XX)
Authors/Creators
Description
We define temporal coherence proxies (Class II in the taxonomy of Paper XXII) and assemble literature-based baseline expectations for their behavior in inner-heliosphere solar wind data from Parker Solar Probe (FIELDS/SWEAP) and Solar Orbiter (MAG/SWA). We classify solar wind phenomena that exhibit signatures of persistent organization within the taxonomic framework of Paper XXII. The paper does not claim detection of the RCD coherence field C in solar data. Rather, it establishes: (i) operationally defined temporal coherence diagnostics for heliospheric time series; (ii) literature-informed baseline values at 0.05-1.0 AU; (iii) classification of coherence-compatible phenomena — switchbacks, magnetic flux tubes, and Alfvenic intervals.
