Wide Angle X-Ray Scattering Data Set of Gypsum Compounds
- 1. Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt (THWS)
- 2. Institute of Digital Engineering (IDEE)
Description
This Data Descriptor introduces a comprehensive dataset from the GIPScycle project, featuring 1,920 WAXS diffractograms designed to detect impurities like asbestos in recycled gypsum. By capturing structural properties across reference materials and real-world samples, the data provides a robust foundation for automated quality control.
The provided ZIP-File contains:
- WAXS measurements in subfolder 'WAXS'
- Data supplement file 'Data_supplement_file.xlsx'
- Jupyter notebook 'data_extraction.ipynb'
The subfolder contains the 1,920 WAXS measurements which can be identified by running enumeration and the data supplement file which gives details on raw material and contaminant. The Jupyter notebook shows how to read in all measurements in a dataframe by applying the data supplement file.
The description of the complete dataset is published in a separate data descriptor - please see details below.
The project GIPScycle is part of the joint research project “ForCYCLE Technikum” funded by the Bavarian State Ministry of the Environment and Consumer Protection and coordinated by the Centre for Basic Materials Efficiency (REZ).
