Genomic and phenotypic characterization of novel jumbo and small bacteriophages infecting Xanthomonas hortorum pv. vitians

This dataset contains the raw and processed data supporting the manuscript “Genomic and phenotypic characterization of novel jumbo and small bacteriophages infecting Xanthomonas hortorum pv. vitians: Toward a phage-based biocontrol strategy"

It includes:

• Host range analysis (efficiency of plating, EOP matrices and associated images)

• Plaque-forming unit (PFU) assay images

• Adsorption kinetics data

• Bioscreen growth curve data used to evaluate bacterial growth inhibition and multiplicity of infection (MOI) effects

• One-step growth curve (OSGC) datasets

• Phage stability assays under abiotic stress conditions (pH, temperature, and UV exposure)

• Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) images of phage particles

• Whole-genome sequencing data for phages PhiXhv-2, PhiXhv-5, PhiXhv-7, PhiXhv-12, PhiXhv-15, PhiXhv-16, PhiXhv-18, and PhiXhv-28 (raw reads, FASTQ format)

• Protein family clustering datasets usef for comparative genomic analyses 

Most files are provided as Excel spreadsheets (.xlsx) or ZIP archives, compatible with R and other statistical software. Raw sequencing data are supplied as compressed FASTQ files.
All datasets correspond to the biological replicates used in the analyses presented in the manuscript.
