La lengua poética de Aristófanes según los escoliastas antiguos: lenguaje figurado, glosas y compuestos

Scholiasts have a great interest in Aristophanes’ language and, of course, also in its poetic features. From this perspective, it does not seem to be accidental that many notes seem to discuss the same aspects that Aristotle mentions in his doctrines on poetic elocution. Thus, the target of this paper is both to study the application of the Aristotelian doctrines concerning poetic language to the commentary of Aristo- phanes’ comedies and to assess the development of such theorization.
